The Last Laugh

A bride recently shared this tidbit with me.

Her mother was amazing, but did not have a "model type" figure and thus had spent many tortured hours shopping for a dress to wear to her daughters wedding.  Finally she found a dress she loved and felt beautiful in.  Then the bride, on a visit to the home of her father and new step mother found out some bad news. Her step mother had purchased the exact same dress to wear!  Knowing her step mother would find it easy to find a dress to show off her perfect figure in, she asked her step mother if she would please consider not wearing the dress to the wedding.  Her step mothers reply was, "No way!  I look amazing in this dress and I am going to wear it to the wedding.  She will just have to buy a different dress!"

The bride delivered the bad news to her mother, who headed out to find a new dress.  As luck would have it (or maybe Karma) she found a different dress that she liked even more!  When her daughter saw it, she felt very relieved and happy for her Mom, then asked her, "What will you do with the other dress Mom?  To which her Mom replied, "Wear it to the rehearsal dinner."
